Do you feel stuck in anxiety loops, unsure of your faith, or weighed down by frightening thoughts?
You're not alone

You may be experiencing:
- Constant worry or overthinking
- Panic attacks or overwhelming anxiety
- Intrusive or unwanted thoughts
- Difficulty relaxing or "turning off" your mind
- Difficulty sleeping because of the worry
- Perfectionism or fear of making mistakes
- Avoiding situations because of anxiety
- Difficulty driving, leaving the house, going to public places, or being social due to anxiety
- Feeling stuck in cycles of fear or self-doubt
- A desire for evidence-based therapy that honors your Christian faith
But Fear isn't God's Voice
If anxiety has been affecting your life, relationships, or ability to experience peace, there is hope. God meets us in our struggles, and healing can include both spiritual growth and practical tools for change.
I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate your unique challenges and provide evidence-based therapy that honors Scripture and your faith in Christ, while also addressing your counseling goals.

Hi, I'm Alyssa!

Alyssa Frers, Licensed Professional Counselor providing Christian counseling for adults with OCD and anxiety in Texas.
What You Can Expect From A Counseling Session With Me:
I like to take time to really listen and understand what you're experiencing. I’m curious by nature, so I may ask questions that help us slow down and look at something from a different angle.
Everyone needs something a little different from counseling. I like taking the time to get to know you as a person so we can develop a plan that fits your goals, and so I can get a sense of how to best connect with and support you along the way.
I enjoy bringing creativity into my work when it feels helpful, whether that's finding a different way to think about a problem or incorporating a creative activity into a session.
I don't expect you to walk into counseling with everything figured out. We'll start where you are and take it from there.

Experience integrating Christian faith and evidence-based mental health treatment
As a long-time Christian myself, I understand that faith is not something we simply leave at the door when we walk into a counseling session. I know how deeply your beliefs can shape the way you understand yourself, your struggles, and your relationship with God.
My goal is to create a space where you can talk openly about both your mental health and your faith, without feeling like you have to choose between the two. Together, we can work toward meaningful change while honoring what matters most to you.

If you're looking for Christian counseling in Texas for anxiety or OCD, I'd be honored to connect with you.

At Vine & Lantern Christian Counseling
We help people pursue greater peace in Christ

Many of the people I work with feel trapped in cycles of worry, overthinking, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, or self-doubt. Through Christian Counseling at Vine & Lantern Christian Counseling, we gently explore these patterns that leave you anxious and exhausted. Together, we work toward greater clarity, freedom, and a deeper sense of peace in God.
I seek to provide a warm, compassionate space where you can explore difficult thoughts and emotions without judgment. My approach combines evidence-based counseling with Christian faith, helping you better understand the patterns that keep you stuck while developing practical tools for lasting change.
